Step Two:

Is My Company Eligible for GFT Funding This Fiscal Year?

Qualification Tips

1. All company locations in Pennsylvania that have received or applied for grants are counted when evaluating grant applications for fiscal year eligibility. So even if your location hasn't had a grant before that doesn't mean your company hasn't used the grant. The company FEIN number is what is used to determine if company locations are seperate or counted together.

2. Plan ahead to maximize your grant funding over five years. Accepting funds in any year counts against the 2 years in a row and 3 out of 5 years restrictions. If you know you will be expanding company operations next year, your company may NOT want to apply this year if it will make your company ineligible next year!

Step Two: Determine if your company meets eligibility for funding this fiscal year? If your company meets the basic qualifications for a grant there are also calendar year restrictions on how often a company can receive grants. Companies may not apply or receive GFT Job Training Grants:

  • More than two (2) years in a row (and/or )
  • more than three (3) out of five (5) years.

You can check the status of prior year grant applications by entering your company Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) in our on-line Company Grant History Report. This report will quickly indicate if your company is eligible for funding this fiscal year. This report lists both WEDnetPA GFT Grants and Customized Job Training Grant (CJT) approved applications. Both these grant types are counted when evaluating fiscal year eligibility. The GFT Fiscal Year is July 1 to June 30th.

If you are not sure of your company FEIN number or need personal assistance determining if your company qualifies for a grant this fiscal year, you many also contact any WEDnetPA Partner directly for assistance.

If your company qualifies proceed to step three of the application process.

You may also download a copy of our current GFT Job Training Grant Guidelines to review qualification requirements off line.
