Community College of Allegheny County
The Community College of Allegheny County’s Center for Professional Development (CPD) understands that a changing work place creates a demand among professionals to keep their skills competitive. The CPD creates training programs that respond to local — and even national — workforce needs, including customized corporate training and federal, state, county, and local agency training.
The CPD also provides professional continuing education credits for attorneys, accountants, human resources professionals, and educators, as well as state-certified training for property assessors, real estate appraisers and agents, and waste-water plant operators. An integral part of the CPD is the Public Safety Institute, which trains personnel in life-saving occupations such as emergency medical services, fire safety, counter terrorism, and various other areas.
Depending on your needs, competitive advantage and disadvantages, your organization’s needs may consist of programs in these categories: leadership, development, quality, and teams; employee development; computer proficiency; technical proficiency; and office proficiency.
