Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania
Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania is primarily an undergraduate institution
with selected graduate programs, offering over 75 undergraduate degree programs,
and three graduate degree programs, with a branch campus in Clearfield, 60 miles
west of Lock Haven. Instructional programs range from associate degrees and
certificate programs to baccalaureate degree programs in the arts and sciences
and professional fields, and graduate programs offered to the University's 5,105
students (4,665 at the main campus and 440 at the Clearfield branch campus).
From a legacy of preparing teachers for the Commonwealth’s public schools,
Lock Haven University is in the process of expanding its mission to respond to
evolving workforce needs. The previous five years have brought additions to
liberal arts and professional programs on both campuses, and we anticipate that
trend to continue. We envision modest and gradual growth of the undergraduate,
on-campus programs, but much steeper growth in demands for access to graduate,
continuing, and distance education programs.
