Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania
Slippery Rock University is a
comprehensive, medium-sized university that provides a challenging, friendly,
fun, and supportive living and learning experience for a reasonable price. It
has four colleges offering over 160 challenging academic programs in the arts,
sciences, teacher education, allied health, business, the humanities, and social
sciences.
In addition, the Division of
Lifelong Learning promotes a cradle to the grave concept of education by
offering community education programs including the Institute for Learning in
Retirement, professional certification courses, continuing education seminars,
and customized workforce training. These initiatives are viewed as a support
system that enriches both lives and communities. No one is excluded from the
division's offerings. Classes are offered at a variety of on and off-campus
sites, even in one's own home via online learning.
