Basic Skills Training is directed toward the teaching of a variety of basic and entry-level skills. Employers and employees must meet specific eligibility requirements; find out if your company qualifies. Following is a list of some, but not all, of the types of training that qualify as Basic Skills.

On-the-Job Training, Sales, Orientation Training and Adult literacy activities cannot be included in Guaranteed Free Training. Where appropriate, WEDnetPA members will collaborate with Adult Literacy Service providers to address workplace literacy needs.

Information Technology Training is directed toward the teaching of a variety of Information Technology and Advanced Applied Manufacturing subjects. Employers and employees must meet specific Information Technology eligibility requirements; find out if your company qualifies.

Specific Information Technology Training will be determined according to the type and scope of the business. What follows is a list of some, but not all, of the types of training that qualifies.

Introductory Information Technology and applied manufacturing training are not eligible, as well as sales training and basic skills training of Office software (word processing and spreadsheets, etc.). Office software training cannot be included in Information Technology Training. Basic skills training in basic Office software subjects can be considered under Basic Skills Training.



Online
Training


The Online Training Program was created to encourage companies to use new Web-based online teaching methods. All Online Training must be taken via the Internet. Training on a variety of subjects and topics associated with the Information Technology and Basic Skills programs are available with the Online Training program.
